
Reputation Becomes The Charge
NASHER MUSEUM OF ART
Duke University has an outstanding reputation in two areas: academics and basketball. Our charge was to add a third with the launch of the Nasher Museum of Art.
Rather than focus our efforts on art lovers, and only feature the artwork and exhibits, we set out to expand the appeal by demonstrating the value of the Nasher to the broader Duke community.
Small space brainteaser ads ran every week for a year featuring difficult puzzles for readers to solve. Of course, the only way to solve them was to visit the museum and study the art. Solve all 20 and become a member of the exclusive Illuminator Club. Lesson learned? Art has something to teach us all.
