As creators of advertising, we often carry around a natural cynicism. A “trust but verify” attitude. So when we finally come across something almost too good to believe in, we are overwhelmed. That’s the story of our feature this issue, Fayetteville State University. From the Chancellor to the Provost to the students, faculty and alumni, we knew in our hearts we had to get this one right.

“Deeds not Words” is the motto Fayetteville State University has lived by for over 150 years. Guiding, shaping and leading generation after generation towards meaningful contributions in their lives and the lives of others. Like many, we didn’t understand the rich legacy of this historic HBCU in our own backyard. But the more we spent time with the FSU family, the more we knew we had to get the story of Bronco excellence and leadership right. This month we launch a campaign with an eye towards attracting the next generation of doers.
