As the Pentagon reduced the number of military bases across the country, there was a need to ease the transition of personnel and their families to Ft. Liberty (previously Ft. Bragg). After countless local interviews, it became clear that, as a lifelong military community, the people of Fayetteville are conditioned to have one another’s back. “Watching over those who watch over us” became the mantra. And The Army’s Army was born to embody this message and provide much-needed, real community volunteer support.
